Dr. Bald earned his B.S. in biology in 1972 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech). In 1976 he received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Bald completed his residency in general surgery at the Orlando Regional Medical Center and finished his three-year Otolaryngology residency at the University of South Florida School of Medicine Department of Surgery. Upon completion of his residency in 1981, Dr. Bald moved to Ocala, Florida and founded Ocala Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialists.
Dr. Bald is is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He served as Munroe Regional Medical Center's O.R. Committee Chairman from 1987-1989, was the hospital's Medical Chief of Staff from 1989-1990, and served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of South Florida's Department of Surgery from 1983 thru 1995.
Although treating all ENT disease, Dr. Bald's forte lies in diseases and surgery of the ear, and voice disorders and surgery.
